This work is an existentialist expression of the exhaustion felt by Puerto Ricans all over the world, left having to process and explain, to ourselves and others, the exploits of decades of political corruption and colonial socio-cultural ties to the US.
As we unseat the corrupt Roselló administration, Puerto Ricans all over the world feel that exhaustion compounded —Sysyphus’s rock just became colossal, improbable for us to push to the top of any hill.
Without a free Puerto Rico, or a plan to become a state of the US, the Puerto Rican people will have to continue our stint in colonial Tartarus.
